Philippe Voyer, RN, PhD, is a full-time professor responsible for continuing education at the Faculty of Nursing of Université Laval. As part of his duties, Mr. Voyer is involved in teaching and ongoing education, research, and clinical practice. He is the author of several books that have been used in Quebec and Europe and have received prestigious awards, including the Minister of Education's Award. He is the principal researcher who created the RADAR tool to detect signs of delirium. He was also the expert mandated by the MSSS in a showcase project aimed at transforming conventional CHSLDs into Alzheimer's CHSLDs. He was also a member of the committee mandated by the MSSS to produce the Alzheimer's Plan and co-chaired the creation of the Quebec guidelines on BPSD management. He is also an advisor to the Ministry of Seniors and Caregivers for the implementation of the Maisons des aînés. Finally, he participated in the development of the Maisons l'étincelle and Humanitae, which are living environments for Alzheimer's patients. These innovative environments have made it possible to test various technologies aimed at the well-being and safety of residents.
