This presentation will discuss the Best Friends Approach to Dementia Care and how it can help support quality of life for persons with dementia and their care partners. The presentation will discuss key elements of quality dementia care along with methods that support the creation of a therapeutic, healing environment. Specific topics include life story work, communication, addressing dementia related behavior and overall tips to develop the knack of caregiving, defined as the "art of doing difficult things with ease and clever strategies.
